Aviators Drop Another One
The Montana Pandas beat the Seattle Aviators, 6-2, at Panda Park. The Pandas got a fine performance from second baseman Vito Middendorf, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Montana reliever Sukejuro Yokoyama was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ron Stone took the loss. The Aviators, now 48-29, have lost 5 in a row.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Middendorf hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Pandas into the lead, 4-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Middendorf told the Montana Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
