Voodoo Subdue Chicago, 2-1
|
New Orleans starter Myles Wilkerson pitched effectively against the Chicago Hawks at The Voodoo Lounge. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Chicago's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Claudio Tappen went 1-3 for New Orleans. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Michael Machen. It was his 27th RBI of the season.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Chicago manager Alan Starwood.
