Bowties Need Extra Frames to Get Past Lakers
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Seishiro Nishimura, the Buckhead Bowties defeated the Echo Park Lakers, 4-2. Nishimura went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Bowties. Buckhead reliever Yoshii Ikeda was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Kaluka Wene took the loss. The Bowties' win now puts them at 37-32.
Todd Sentell, who is rated as the 70th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Buckhead with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Sentell.
