The New Orleans Voodoo eked out a 2-1 win versus the Kingston Township Legion at Cloverdale Legion Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Myles Wilkerson, who captured player of the game honors. New Orleans is now 31-34, while Kingston Township is 31-34.
New Orleans grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Mario Álvarez delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Voodoo.
"Runs were at a premium," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
