Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Kumanosuke Abe, the Echo Park Lakers defeated the Greenville 84s, 8-5. Abe was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Lakers. Júlio Saldaña sewed up the save, his 14th. The losing skid has reached 7 games for Greenville.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Abe, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in bases on balls with 50, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Lakers into the lead, 4-2.
