5 Straight Wins for Aviators
|
The Seattle Aviators did just enough to sneak past the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-5, at Great Northern Field. Seattle first baseman Kenny Webster earned player of the game honors. Holden Rosen Grupp was credited with the save for Seattle, his 17th of the season. Seattle is now riding a 5-game win streak.
In the top of the 6th, second baseman Pedro Corona gave Seattle the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Aviators had been trailing 5-4, but the two-out single off Thunder Bay pitcher Scott William changed that -- and Seattle went on to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Webster said.
