Pandas Win at Thunder Bay, 6-4
|
Montana withstood an impressive performance by Thunder Bay left fielder Joe Aller to defeat the Northern Lions BC, 6-4, at Great Northern Field. Aller went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Zalontae Hillary got the win, improving to 3-4. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 5. Pedro Valdéz earned the save for Montana, his 2nd of the year.
Montana second baseman Joe Craig contributed to the cause with a double in the top of the third. For the game, Craig was 1 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Craig told a Montana Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Montana, at 26-20, sits in second place in the Third League.
