Hawks Bump Off Voodoo, 7-3
|
Chicago Hawks starter Blaine Stottlar was in fine form against the New Orleans Voodoo at Hawks Ballpark, leading his team to a 7-3 win. The winning pitcher was Stottlar, now 2-1. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Chicago is now 24-21.
Cam MacIntosh's at-bat in the bottom of the first inning was a big one for Chicago. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Chicago leading 1-0, the shortstop drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"It's a mindset," said Stottlar. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
