The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Bloomington Longnecks, 3-2, in USPL Triple A action at Lookouts Ballpark. The player of the game was Milton pitcher and St. Paul, Minnesota native Nick Richie. Richie went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. The win lifts Milton to a record of 4-3.
It could have been a different outcome for Milton, had it not been for Miguel Montoya, the 27-year old center fielder . Montoya contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Milton up, 3-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Montoya told the Milton Times.
