Rocks Turn Back Tortolita, 9-7
|
Sean Godron had a good game, but he could not keep the Tortolita Drummers from falling, 9-7, to the Plymouth Rocks at Drummers Ballpark. The Tortolita designated hitter was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. With the win, Plymouth elevates its record to 4-3.
With the bases loaded and two out in the top of the second inning, right fielder José Castillo delivered big for the Rocks. Plymouth was leading 3-0 when he belted a grand slam home run.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Rocks manager John Bush. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
