Alloway Halberds starter Antonio Godfrey turned in a top-notch performance against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The result was a win for the Halberds, 4-1. The 'W' lifts Alloway's record to 46-48.

The Halberds got a big at-bat from catcher Scott Donlan. For the game, Donlan was 1 for 2. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Alloway a 2-0 lead.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Donlan.
