Great Day for Fries in Supernovas Win
|
Scranton catcher Chris Fries had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Alloway Halberds, 10-5. The Supernovas raised their record to 44-48.
Eddie Sachs went 1 for 3 with 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Scranton. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off John Ball. It was his 23rd walk of the season.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Scranton manager Wes Murray.
