The Scranton Supernovas did just enough to sneak past the Alloway Halberds, 8-7, at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton first baseman Eddie Sachs earned player of the game honors. Scranton reliever Kenny Powers got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Marcos Sarmiento was tagged with the loss. Scranton currently is in 7th place in the Silver AAA at 43-48.

Sachs had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 11th. On a first pitch fastball from Marcos Sarmiento, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Supernovas a 8-7 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Sachs.

"It was a solid team effort," said Sachs after the game.
