Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Disaster
The Port Royal Disaster did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Alloway Halberds at Ballpark of Port Royal. Nobody did more than pitcher Jerry Kumpf, who captured player of the game honors. The win puts the Disaster at 39-46, while the Halberds drop to 42-43.

John Burton was the walk-off hero for Port Royal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Kumpf said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
