Portland Evergreens starter Yoo-chul Mun was in fine form against the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Evergreen Park, leading his team to a 5-4 win. Mun went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. The win gives Portland a record of 4-2.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Chris Payling, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, hit a run-scoring single. The Evergreens went on to win.
"Both teams played hard," said Portland manager Imran Baig.
