Royse City rode a fine outing from starter Emershan Naidoo to victory over the Tremont Doubledays at Royse City Stadium. The final score was 3-1. Naidoo, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Lou Hartling was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 20 save opportunities.
With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Barney Heise hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 43rd hit of the season and with it the Targaryens took a 1-0 lead.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Royse City skipper Chris Drew. "I can't complain."
