|
Alloway second baseman Jorge López had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 7-4 win over the Tremont Doubledays. Nicholas Beyer got the win, improving to 5-2. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 3. Marcos Sarmiento got the save, the 12th for him this season.
López had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Halberds went on to win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," López said after the game.
Alloway is now 39-40.
