Braves Get Road Win, 4-3
|
Despite a fine performance by catcher Brad Jacobson, the Scranton Supernovas suffered a 4-3 loss to the Gryfindor Braves. Jacobson went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Fred Gunther was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 6 walks and 5 strikeouts. Suezo Amano converted his 20th save in 21 tries.
The game hit a turning point in the top of the fifth inning, when the Braves were trailing 3-2. Ernesto Souza delivered a two-out 2-run double for Gryfindor, catapulting his team into the lead.
Souza told a Gryfindor Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Gryfindor now owns a record of 34-39.
