Targaryens Clip Reserves in Tight Contest
|
The Royse City Targaryens bested the Athletic Club KC Reserves by a score of 6-4, with shortstop Ashley Thachi getting the main credit. On the day, Thachi went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Targaryens. Lou Hartling closed it out for his 12th save. Royse City, at 33-31, sits in third place in the Silver AAA.
Thachi had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch curveball from Adam Taylor, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Targaryens a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Thachi.
"Ashley is still learning," said Targaryens manager Chris Drew. "The sky's the limit for him."
