Doubledays Squelch Golden Cranes Offense in Shutout Win
|
Tremont Doubledays starter Daniel Lavalley pitched a strong game against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Doubledays Stadium, leading the Doubledays to a 5-0 win. Tremont occupies second place in the Silver AAA at 31-29.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the second, with the game tied, Martín Méndez was at the plate when Tremont scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Doubledays to go in front, 1-0.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Lavalley. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
