Fighting Dachsunds Lose, 5-2, at Ballpark of Port Royal
|
It was a fun time at Ballpark of Port Royal, where the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds and Port Royal Disaster tangled.
The Port Royal Disaster defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 5-2, in USSL Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal, with Port Royal pitcher Chet Saks named player of the game. Saks, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.
Steve Bock, who is rated as the 82nd best prospect by BNN, helped out the Port Royal cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
Saks told a Port Royal News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The win puts the Disaster at 29-31, while the Fighting Dachsunds drop to 39-21.
