The Scranton Supernovas had to overcome a big game from Alloway designated hitter Manny Gonzáles to leave Ballpark of Alloway with a 9-6 victory. Gonzáles went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Victor Brey earned the save for Scranton, his 8th of the year. Scranton, at 28-31, occupies 8th place in the Silver AAA.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the top of the fifth inning. That's when designated hitter Felipe Bruno, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in home runs with 11, got hit by a pitch. The Supernovas went on to win.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Wes Murray said.
