Royse City Targaryens starter Earl Farley turned in an exceptional performance against the Tremont Doubledays at Doubledays Stadium, resulting in a Royse City win, 7-1. In 8 innings, Farley surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Royse City, at 24-29, sits in 9th place in the Silver AAA.
The Targaryens got a big at-bat from second baseman Barney Heise. For the game, Heise went 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 12th hit of the season gave Royse City a 2-1 lead.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Heise told the Royse City Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
