Targaryens Walk It Off for 21st Win of Season
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Hezekiah Grimsley, falling 2-1 to the Royse City Targaryens at Royse City Stadium. The Reserves, now 20-26, have lost 5 in a row.
Alberto Vargas was the walk-off hero for Royse City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Targaryens first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I really like what we did out there today," Vargas said after the game.
