The Port Royal Disaster topped the Tremont Doubledays, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Doubledays Stadium. The player of the game was Port Royal pitcher Miguel Hernández. Hernández picked up the win for Port Royal, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. The Disaster' win now puts them at 20-24.
Port Royal grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Sancho Tornero delivered a 2-run double, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Disaster.
"Enjoyed this one," Hernández told the Port Royal News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
