Victory Over Targaryens Takes Ellenburg to 28-12
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Royse City Targaryens at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Nobody did more than pitcher Dennis Brown, who captured player of the game honors. Ellenburg is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Daniel Riley went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs for Ellenburg. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Gustavo Tobías. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Brown told the Ellenburg Today.
