Golden Cranes Come Up Short at Tremont
|
The Tremont Doubledays knocked off the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 5-4, at Doubledays Stadium. Jackson Curry, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Tremont won. The right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Tremont is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Curry had a key at-bat for Tremont early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and gave Tremont an early 2-0 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Curry. "I saw the ball well."
