Both teams had their chances, but the Royse City Targaryens eventually prevailed at Royse City Stadium.

Royse City shortstop Ashley Thachi made his presence felt in the 6-5 Targaryens triumph over the Alloway Halberds. Thachi went 4-5 with 4 singles. Royse City reliever Igarashi Momoru got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Marcos Sarmiento was tagged with the loss.

Royse City took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, third baseman Junior Pittman hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"Ashley is still learning," said Targaryens manager Chris Drew. "The sky's the limit for him."

The win puts the Targaryens at 18-20, while the Halberds drop to 19-19.
