Doubledays Continue Skid Thanks to Thachi, Targaryens

Royse City shortstop Ashley Thachi had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-3 win over the Tremont Doubledays. Earl Farley was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 6 strikeouts. Pedro Tavárez got credit for the save for Royse City. It was his 2nd of the year.
Carroll Martin helped out the Royse City cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
In postgame comments to the Royse City Gazette, Martin said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Doubledays, now 20-15, have lost 5 straight.
