Santa Barbara starter Pedro Castro put a stranglehold on the Royse City offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Golden Cranes to a 4-1 win. Castro went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-1. Santa Barbara now owns a record of 17-16.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, designated hitter Logan Manning delivered a key hit for the Golden Cranes. With Santa Barbara leading 1-0, he ripped a 2-run home run.

"I thought we played a nice game," Castro told the Santa Barbara Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
