Braves Need Extra Frames to Get Past Halberds
The Gryfindor Braves stopped the Alloway Halberds, 9-8, at Cayuse Ballpark. The Braves got a big game from Paul Penrice, who went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Gryfindor reliever Niklas Frei was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Akihiko Rin took the loss. Gryfindor is 11-15 and Alloway, with the loss, 13-13.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Gryfindor shortstop Javier López, facing Akihiko Rin, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Braves the 9-8 win.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Penrice told the Gryfindor Observer.
