Victory Pushes Halberds Record to 13-11
The Alloway Halberds and Port Royal Disaster played a tight game at Ballpark of Alloway, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.

The Alloway Halberds got a strong performance from pitcher Pat McCormick, who stymied the Port Royal offense en route to a 3-1 win at Ballpark of Alloway. Matthew Fallows closed the game out for Alloway, earning his 3rd save.

The Halberds beat the Disaster with some clutch hitting. The home run by Jorge Flores in the bottom of the first is a good example. With two down, Flores gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he came through with the big hit.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," McCormick said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Halberds bumped their record to 13-11 with this latest triumph.
