Scranton Wins, Guzmán goes 3-for-4
|
The Scranton Supernovas bested the Alloway Halberds by a score of 7-3, with left fielder Jesús Guzmán getting the main credit. On the day, Guzmán went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Supernovas. The winner was Pedro Rodríguez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Francisco García took the loss. Victor Brey picked up the save for Scranton, his 4th of the year.
Scranton took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Karl Blanke hit a bases-clearing double to make it 6-3, Supernovas.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Blanke said after the game.
The Supernovas' win now puts them at 8-13.
