Disaster Come Back Late to Top Battlekings
The Naperville Battlekings got a sterling performance from pitcher Tony Alfonso, but the Disaster still prevailed, 8-5. Alfonso was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Kyuichi Hori earned the win for Port Royal. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. Earning his 5th save of the year was Jon King.

Had Mitchell Cusimano not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Cusimano hit a bases-clearing triple. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Disaster.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Port Royal manager .

The win gives Port Royal a record of 6-8.
