Golden Cranes Turn Back Royse City, 4-2
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes and Royse City Targaryens played an exciting game at Royse City Stadium.
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes defeated the Royse City Targaryens, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Royse City Stadium, with Santa Barbara pitcher Hikaru Yamaguchi named player of the game. Earning his 4th save for Santa Barbara was Enrique García.
Christian Turner had a big 2-run home run for the Golden Cranes in the top of the second inning. With Santa Barbara leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Earl Farley and stroked the home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Golden Cranes ahead, 3-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Santa Barbara skipper William Franklin.
The win moves Santa Barbara to a record of 6-5.
