Fighting Dachsunds Mow Down Supernovas, 10-3
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds topped the Scranton Supernovas, 10-3, in USSL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The player of the game was Ellenburg designated hitter Francisco Alfaro. Chip Bishop got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Ellenburg, now 6-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.

The Fighting Dachsunds got a big at-bat from third baseman Daniel Riley. For the game, Riley went 2-4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 12th hit of the season gave Ellenburg a 3-2 lead.
