The Royse City Targaryens beat the Port Royal Disaster, 12-2, at Royse City Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Gary Malone, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Royse City improves to 4-3 as they look to defend their championship.

Javier Chávez had a big 2-run double for the Targaryens in the bottom of the second inning. With Royse City leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a forkball from Claudio Mateo and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Targaryens ahead, 4-1.

"We take it day by day here," said Chávez, "and today was a good one for us."
