Fighting Dachsunds Edge Disaster, 3-2
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Port Royal Disaster at Ballpark of Port Royal. Nobody did more than pitcher Benjamin Busto, who captured player of the game honors. Kyung-un Yi picked up the save for Ellenburg, his 2nd of the year. Ellenburg goes to 4-2 with the win.
The most important at-bat for Ellenburg came in the top of the tenth inning, when shortstop Locke Lamora stroked a 2-1 fastball to left for a run-scoring single, putting Ellenburg up, 3-2.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Busto said after the game.
