Constellation Ballpark was the site of a tense game between the Gryfindor Braves and Naperville Battlekings.
The Naperville Battlekings picked up a win at Constellation Ballpark, knocking off the Gryfindor Braves, 3-1. Starting pitcher Gregory Bahena, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Naperville reliever Kelemeneke Balun got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Javier Roldán was tagged with the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Esteban Jiménez.
Had Berihun Tukufu not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tukufu hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Battlekings.
"I really like what we did out there today," Bahena said after the game.
The Battlekings raised their record to 3-1.
