Rocks Lose, 6-2, at Lookouts Ballpark
The Bloomington Longnecks launched their 2031 campaign with a victory over the Plymouth Rocks at Lookouts Ballpark. Bloomington second baseman Gabriel Díaz was instrumental in the 6-2 win. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Pierre Levegh, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 5 innings.

Gabrio Campoverde had a big run-scoring single for the Longnecks in the bottom of the first inning. With Bloomington trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Cisco Andr and stroked the single to right. It was his 1st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Longnecks ahead, 2-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bloomington manager .
