Irving beat Marquette at Marquette Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Ricardo Ríos, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Matthew Fallows earned the save for Irving, his 13th. Irving occupies 7th place in the Silver AA at 50-49.
The result might have been different for Irving, had it not been for Enrique Gómez. The second baseman produced a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Sox ahead, 6-5. For the game, Gómez had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
