Sixshooters Lose Again, 2-1, to Misfits
|
Salem starter Ollie McDaniell pitched effectively against the Westwood Sixshooters at Sixshooters Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. León Vallejo was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 17 save opportunities. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Misfits.
In the top of the 6th, center fielder César Ramos gave Salem the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Misfits had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Westwood pitcher Alfonso Santa Maria changed that -- and Salem went on to win.
"I felt good up there," said Ramos. "I saw the ball well."
