Sixshooters Continue Skid Thanks to Laming, Lionhearts
|
Lannister United played host to Westwood at the friendly confines of Lionheart Field.
The Lannister United Lionhearts downed the Westwood Sixshooters, 6-2, at Lionheart Field. Jayden Laming led the way, going 3-for-4 for Lannister United. Eugenio Piñeiro picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 11-9.
Takahiro Suzuki drove in one run for Lannister United. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Suzuki delivered for the Lionhearts. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Lannister United on top, 3-2.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Laming told the Lannister United Observer.
Westwood's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
