Wenzu Hits 2 home runs in Mermen Win
The exploits of third baseman Tumas Wenzu, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in total bases with 142, helped the Myrtle Beach Mermen defeat the Westwood Sixshooters, 9-0. Wenzu went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Ryunosuke Kurota, credited with the win, is now 8-4. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 8.2 innings. Myrtle Beach, at 40-51, occupies 9th place in the Silver AA.

Wenzu had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Mermen went on to win.
