Seawolves Lose Again, 6-1, to Athletic Club KC Academy
|
Athletic Club KC Academy starter Ben Skelton was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Long Island Seawolves, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Skelton, now 4-3. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 2. The Seawolves, now 32-53, have lost 6 straight.
The Athletic Club KC Academy got a big at-bat from catcher Dewey Nauss. For the game, Nauss went 1-3 with a walk. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Athletic Club KC Academy a 2-1 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Nauss said.
