Muller Helps Sixshooters Run Win Streak to 3
|
Westwood left fielder David Muller had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 12-1 win over the Glendale Herons. Tye Collyer got the win, improving to 3-1. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Loren Berdine was credited with the save for Westwood, his 1st of the season.
Westwood grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Muller hit a run-scoring single. His 7th hit of the season put the Sixshooters out in front, 2-1.
Sixshooters manager Greg Keys had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
Westwood has a 3-game win streak, while Glendale has lost 3 in a row.
