Tullo Powers Miners to 14-4 Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from Ted Tullo, who is tied for 7th in the SAA in stolen bases with 19, helped the Marquette Miners beat the Westwood Sixshooters, 14-4. Marquette reliever Carson Vancuren got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Raúl Colón was tagged with the loss. James Neutron earned the save for Marquette, his 1st of the year.
Tullo had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Miners went on to win.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Marquette manager José Vázquez.
Marquette is now 36-31.
