Herons Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Seawolves
|
The Glendale Herons took Long Island pitcher Jamey Crockett's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Remsen. The final score had Glendale getting past the Seawolves, 6-4. Crockett went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 8. Long Island's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
The Herons got a big at-bat from second baseman Tommy Dreamer. For the game, Dreamer was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Glendale a 6-3 lead.
