Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Seawolves
The Myrtle Beach Mermen got a superb performance from catcher Russell Porter. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Long Island. The Seawolves won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Porter was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Denis Melis got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Long Island is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Abad Lugo was the walk-off hero for Long Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Seawolves third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lugo.
