Myrtle Beach and Lannister United duked it out at Lionheart Field and the Mermen came out victorious.

Armando Romero drove in 4 runs to help Myrtle Beach defeat Lannister United, 8-6. The first baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Mermen. Tomás Huesca, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed 6 runs on 10 hits in 7.1 innings. Bob Christison recorded his 13th save for Myrtle Beach.

Romero contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Myrtle Beach in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Romero took a sinker from Eugenio Piñeiro and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Mermen to leap in front, 5-3.
